Spray Painter

Prepare surfaces and apply a wide variety of coatings to obtain high quality and decorative finishes using paint booth.

Essential Functions
• Clean and prep surfaces using such processes as sanding, scraping and grinding
• Use of spray equipment (air/airless) to apply paint and other materials
• Application of a protective coating to a variety of metal material surfaces
• Monitor extractors, drying fans and heaters
• Board and mask material
• Ensure all paint related waste is properly labeled, stored and disposed of
• Maintain paint booth and associated equipment to ensure proper working condition
• Ensure job meets all requirement before leaving work cell
• Meet or exceed established production levels
• Ensure all Health and Safety procedures are followed

Required Knowledge and Skills

• Must have experience reading drawings and blueprints.
• Must have the ability to use small hand and power tools.
• 3 years experience in spray painting in an industrial paint booth environment
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Experience with overhead crane.
• Must be able to lift 50lbs.
• Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.

Education
• High School Diploma or GED.
