Mechanical Assembler

Piece together parts, according to drawings and procedures, with tools and fasteners.

Essential Functions
• Perform a variety of subassembly and final assembly operations of units having variable shapes and sizes.
• Follow specified/established methods and procedures required to make designated assemblies involving the use of hand and power tools, overhead cranes and test equipment.
• Ensure job meets all requirements before leaving work cell.
• Meet or exceed established production levels.

Required Knowledge and Skills
• Drawings and Bill of Materials interpretation.
• Must have experience reading drawings and blueprints.
• Must have the ability to use small hand and power tools.
• Previous experience in mechanical assembly.
• Must be able to lift 50lbs.
• Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.

Education
• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1 year experience working in a manufacturing environment.
